OCSCC employs
every possibility to accommodate specific needs of its members. We
are initiating mentor programs and conducting professional
seminars, which are all elaborately designed to meet both basic
needs and upper scale satisfactions of well-educated Chinese
scholars.

Program
Many
high-profile Chinese immigrants voluntarily conduct a wide range
of workshops and seminars to enlighten new Chinese immigrants and
Chinese Canadians in difficulty. Topics focus on but not limit to
how to find employment in such a dismal economy, how to improve
communication skills and get familiar with local social/cultural
environment, and how to deal with stressful occurrences (eg
discrimination, sexual harassment, etc).

Free Program
Different
culture fosters different ideology. It has never been easy to find
a compatible dimension in an unfamiliar continent, especially for
Chinese immigrants who are well educated but lack of practical
experience in Canadian society. Chinese immigrants are
experiencing numerous challenges in balancing their career and
life in the whole new society. OCSCC cares and well understands
their specific situations and concerns that have already tortured
them physically and psychologically for a long period of time.
OCSCC mentors participants to release stress through an innovative
one on one basis. Mentors are able to understand mentorees to the
best extent and provide customized solutions for them. In
addition, by organizing social activities, OCSCC helps
participants release psychological pressures and find employment
through social networks.

OCSCC exerts
every effort to invite enterprises and professionals joining the
program to expand social network and enrich community services.
Bi-monthly, we conduct mentoring services involving firms and
professionals to members and new comers in need. This program
helps participants broaden their social activities and find co-op
or short-term employment opportunities.
